✨ The South East London Garden Catio

The Brief

This South East London project was centred around creating a safe, secure outdoor environment for the client’s cats — protecting them from nearby traffic and surrounding wildlife.

Alongside safety, the structure needed to sit comfortably within the garden, complementing the home rather than feeling like a purely functional addition.

The Design

We designed a clean, well-proportioned catio that balances practicality with a considered, understated aesthetic.

Rather than overcomplicating the space, the focus was on creating something that feels natural and integrated — a structure that works with the garden, not against it.

To enhance usability and longevity, we incorporated a discreet rainwater management system, including integrated guttering and a connected water butt. This allows for controlled drainage while also making practical use of rainfall within the garden.

The Build

Constructed using durable, high-quality materials, the catio was built to provide long-term reliability while maintaining a refined finish.

The structure offers:

Fully enclosed, secure outdoor access
Weather protection for year-round use
Integrated guttering for effective water runoff
A connected water butt to support sustainable garden use

Every element was installed with precision, ensuring the build feels solid, clean, and built to last.

The Result

The finished space provides exactly what the clients needed — complete peace of mind.

Their cats can now experience the outdoors safely, without exposure to traffic or other animals, while still benefiting from fresh air and natural stimulation.

At the same time, the catio sits comfortably within the garden, functioning as a practical and visually cohesive addition to the home.
